Michael is founder and artistic director of LiTFUSE Poets’ Workshop, held annually at Mighty Tieton Artisan Community in Central Washington.  Michael’s poetry has twice been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, but he hasn’t yet won the actual cart.  Michael is drawn to the oxymoron of the dirty word, to silence, to the territory beyond language.  Here is a selection of Michael’s poetry:
